This term, Dulwich College Yangon hosted world-class Disney animator and director, Aaron Blaise. Aaron worked at Walt Disney Feature Animation for 21 years helping to create some of the greatest animated films ever made; ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ’Aladdin’, ‘The Lion King’, ‘Pocahontas’ and ‘Mulan’. In 2003, Aaron was co-director of ‘Brother Bear’, for which he earned an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Feature Film.
Aaron spent the day at our Star City campus, where he hosted a series of animation workshops with students who were joined by their peers from our Pun Hlaing campus. The small class sizes meant that the students had real hands-on experience with the famous animator, and many students finished the day feeling enthusiastic and inspired.
The visit was a part of our Dulwich Diversity programme, where our schools host a series of inspiring practitioners and specialists. The programme adds to our already exciting curriculum offering and allows our students to engage directly with a wide range of specialists.
