Students across the Dulwich College International (DCI) network are already receiving offers to continue their studies at some of the best universities around the world.

This year’s graduating classes have received offers to attend leading institutions in the US including Yale University, Northwestern University, Georgetown University, Johns Hopkins University and Barnard College. Those students looking to study in the UK have received offers from leading Russell Group universities including: University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, University of Bristol, Durham University, King’s College London, Imperial College London, University College London, and the University of Warwick.

Heather Pineda, Director of University Counselling for Dulwich College International suggests that this success derives from students’ passion for what they do and a learning environment that promotes academic excellence while encouraging students to pursue their individual talents. DCI’s university counseling activities start in Year 7 and prepare students for the university admissions process in their chosen destinations.
Heather Pineda said: “I am extremely proud of what we do for students. Our comprehensive approach to university counselling promotes student development and personal planning throughout their time at our campuses. We ensure all our students have the skills to thrive academically and socially at their chosen university and beyond. We provide comprehensive information early on and assist students as they build personal profiles and portfolios. When students begin Senior School they are introduced to a comprehensive and tailored university and career planning – the Dulwich Success Plan. This ensures students are well informed, well prepared global citizens and strong candidates for the best universities in the world.”

Top universities are selecting a small number of students from a large pool of academically successful candidates. Significant numbers of students receiving offers from some of the best universities in the world demonstrates the strength of the extracurricular provision and support offered to students at the Dulwich College International schools.

Heather Pineda will be visiting Dulwich College Yangon in March, and will talk about the approach to university counselling present in all DCI schools. Contact the school on for more information on her visit or to learn more about university preparation at Dulwich College Yangon.
