Mathematics Teacher, Year 7/8 Form Tutor
Paddy Williams is re-joining the Dulwich community to teach Mathematics at Star City, having started his teaching career with a happy and successful six years at Dulwich College in London. Prior to that, he graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics at the University of Nottingham (UK) and then spent three years working as a fine-dining chef across London and the south of England before being awarded his PGCE at the University of Portsmouth. At Dulwich, he taught Mathematics across the secondary age range, from Year 7s up to Further Maths A Level. He also established and ran a thriving cycling club for the students, leading various trips and competitions, as well as being a housemaster and rugby coaching. Since then, he has taught in Kenya and at Wellington College back in England, and most recently has been Head of Mathematics at the British International School in Istanbul, overseeing many initiatives to raise the standards and profile of the department and to give the subject more of a creative, collaborative image among the students, parents and staff. He is a specialist at teaching the IB Diploma and the IGCSE, with over 10 years’ experience, and is looking forward to helping DCY establish its delivery of these two courses.
